Lord Montagu and the Beaulieu River team welcomed 300 berth and mooring holders to a Wimbledon-themed summer party on the riverfront at Buckler’s Hard.

Life-sized cutouts of celebrity tennis players joined guests at the party, complete with a tennis court to play on, Pimms and a picnic served on the picturesque banks of the river.

The annual get together is a key date on the calendar of Beaulieu River events to bring together the Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour community, where mooring holders can meet new and old friends.

Harbour Master Wendy Stowe said: “We received lots of lovely comments from mooring holders, who really enjoy getting together and appreciate the sense of community these events bring to the Beaulieu River.”

Donations from mooring holders, who wanted to take their picnic hamper, plants and tennis balls home from the June event, raised more than £1,000 for Stand up to Cancer.

Pop-up restaurants and community events have become regular features, along with investments to improve facilities and deliver the best possible customer service at the Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour in the heart of the New Forest National Park.
