Hundreds of Beaulieu River berth and mooring holders were entertained by ‘Monarchy – a Queen tribute‘ for a belated Jubilee celebration summer party at Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour on Saturday 11th June.
Featuring some of Queen’s best-loved music, the concert in the boat shed on the picturesque banks of the river was a hit with the party-goers.
The annual get together is a key date on the calendar of Beaulieu River events to bring together the Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour community, where mooring holders can meet new and old friends.
About 800 berth and mooring holders joined in with the spirit of the event, waving flags and singing along with classics, before a special firework finale over the marina.
Harbour Master Wendy Stowe said:
“The annual get together is a key date on the calendar of Beaulieu River events, bringing together new and old friends of the Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour community.”
The Solent Cellar, the Chilli Chain, and the New Forest Fish & Shellfish added to the party atmosphere of the event, serving delicious food and drink to suit all tastes throughout the evening.
The Beaulieu River is one of the few privately owned rivers in the world and the custodianship of the Montagu family has protected it for over four centuries. In 2021 the yacht harbour was awarded a top rating of 5 Gold Anchors by The Yacht Harbour Association, in recognition of its first-class facilities and outstanding customer service. Plus, it was a runner-up in The British Yachting Awards’ Marina of the Year awards in 2020 and has a long track record of giving a personal and outstanding service to its customers.
